Elijah swallowing the glass stone

So on June 10th Elijah put this glass stone in his mouth and accidentally swallowed it. He was so upset, he came running to me and crying and said, "I am going to choke, I swallowed it, I am going to choke!!!" I told him to calm down and tell me what happened, he said he swallowed the stone. I told him to calm down and stop crying that everything was going to be ok. I called the hospital and they said I should bring him in for x-rays just to be safe. So I got ready and then took him to the hospital. Here is a picture of the stone he swallowed:

This was the first x-ray that was taken on June 10th, you can see the stone in his stomach. They told me to give it a few days and see if it passed and if I didn't see it in a week then bring him back in and x-ray again.
Well then after a week I took him back in and it was still in his stomach. Here is the second x-ray

After this x-ray we had to make an appointment and go see the pediatric surgeon to see what to do. He said we need to schedule an outpatient surgeon and what they would do is stick a little camera down his throat and find the stone and grab it with a net and then pull it back out. We scheduled the procedure for July 9th.

Well July 9th rolled around and we got up early and went in to have the procedure done and they x-rayed him one more time and praise God, it was gone!! I don't know when or how it passed all I know is that God made it happened!!

Elijah and His "Jadon"

Elijah is all about Jadon so now he has taken his boy baby doll and has named it Jadon and carries it everywhere with him. Here are just a couple pictures I have gotten. One is of him sleeping with "Jadon", which he does every night and the other is from when we went for a walk he had to bring his "Jadon" with us!! Jonathan really isn't sure how he feels about all of this but I think it is just sweet!! I told Jonathan that he is just being like daddy and he should be proud!!

Jadon Douglas Meyer

Jadon Douglas Meyer arrived on April 27, 2009 at 1:24 p.m. He was 7 pds 6 oz and 20 and a half inches long. He is just perfect. My mom came into town the week before to visit and stay through and help with the boys while I was in the hospital, which was such a blessing.

I went in on Monday April 27th to be induced. It's funny because I was really nervous. I know I have had two other Children but I think that you never really are prepared for labor again. As ready as I was to have him out and here, I was also scared!! We had to be to the hospital at 7:30 a.m. so my mom was staying behind at home to get Isaiah to school and Elijah to my friend Elizabeth who was going to be watching him for the day. Well Isaiah ended up being sick all night with a fever so needless to say I only got 3 hours of sleep before heading off to the hospital to give birth!!! Isaiah didn't go to school he also went to Elizabeth's so my mom got to the hospital about 10 a.m.

At a little after 8 a.m. they started my I.V. which was one of the worse parts of the whole thing. I was dehydrated so every time they tried to get a vein, it would collapse. After six times getting pokes and four different nurses, they finally got my I.V. started! At that point it was right around 9:30. So they didn't really start the pitocine till about 10. After they started that they went ahead and got me my epidural. I was a little nervous about my epidural because with the other boys I was in pain when I got it so I didn't really feel it all that much because all I could feel were the contractions, this time I was in no pain so I was scared it was going to hurt. But to my surprise, it really wasn't all that bad!!! After I got my epidural they broke my water and then we just waited. I ended up falling asleep for a little bit and then next thing I knew it was time to push!!!!

After he was born and we moved to our other room it was time for me to go get my tubes tied!!! :( I was super nervous about that because they just left my epidural in and were going to do it like that. Jonathan stayed with Jadon and I went down to surgery. It was a really weird experience. They gave me some medicine that made me almost feel like I was asleep but I wasn't. I couldn't keep my eyes open, they were so heavy and I felt like I was dreaming. I could hear them talking and stuff but I don't remember to much of what they were saying. Once that was over I was in a lot of pain. Let me just say that getting your tubes tied really hurts!!!! I was so happy to get back down to Jonathan and Jadon.

Jadon had been such a good baby. My mom stayed for another week after he was born and then when she left Jonathan's mom and brother came to visit. It was so nice to see everyone and for everyone to get a chance to meet Jadon. He has completed our family!! We have three happy, healthy, beautiful boys and we couldn't ask for more! I thank God for the family he has blessed me with!!!

Here is Jadon right after he was born

Elijah aka the sleeper!!!

So I just thought this was to funny and had to write a blog about it. Elijah, 3 1/2, still needs a nap. Isaiah stopped napping at age 2 but not Elijah. He still must have a nap. If for some reason he doesn't get a nap he will just crash wherever and however. Here are some examples:

Here he is, he was watching tv and crashed on the arm of the couch.
I thought this one was the funniest. He was playing with a puzzle book and next thing we knew he was asleep.
Here he is, he fell asleep while coloring. He still has the marker in his hand.
This is after Isaiah's birthday, we were cleaning up the kitchen and walked out to the living room to find him like this.

It's been way to long... Time for an update!!!

Well it has been way to long since I have posted anything and there is lots to tell!!! First, everything is going good with Jadon. I have six weeks and a couple days left until his due date. He is moving growing and moving like crazy. He is keeping me up at night moving so much!!! The boys have both got to feel him move and they think it is the neatest thing. The other day Elijah did the sweetest thing, I laid down with him to take a nap and he took his blanket and put it on my stomach. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was sharing his blanket with Jadon. I just thought that was so adorable. It has been really nice getting to spend some one on one time with Elijah since Isaiah is now in school. He talks all the time and has the biggest imagination. I have really enjoyed these past few months with him despite the fact that I haven't been feeling all that great, I am just so tired all the time and then we have all been fighting colds and stuff but we are all doing really good.

Isaiah is doing good too. He really enjoys school and his principal called to welcome us and said she spoke with his teacher and he is doing great. He has just caught right on to everything and is making friends. The other day when I took him to school Mrs. Benjamin, his teacher, told me how good he was doing and that he listens well. Of course that made me so proud. He is really looking forward to spring break, which he gets at the end of the month. Here is a picture he made in art.
The weather is starting to get nice so we finally got to go outside and enjoy our backyard. Of course the boys and Sam loved it!!!

Jonathan got his Ordained Minister Certificate in the mail. Our Pastor presented it to him at church on Sunday March 8th with a cake that said congratulations. He is every excited and we are all just so proud!!!

On Friday March 13th we got to go with our youth and some others in the church to WinterJam. It was here in Fort Wayne at the coliseum. It's a huge concert where several christian artist preform. They travel all over for the first few months after the first of the year doing this tour we were just lucky enough that one of the stops was here in Ft. Wayne. We got to see Hawk Nelson, TobyMac, Francesca Battistelli, New Song, The Afters and Stephanie Smith. We didn't take Elijah but this was Isaiah's first concert. He loved it. He couldn't wait for TobyMac and of course he was the last to preform. He stayed awake for about two songs and then fell asleep!! But if you ask him he didn't fall asleep he was just resting his legs!!!

Valentines Day

We had an interesting Valentines weekend. Friday was a good day. Isaiah had his Valentines Party at school and got lots of candy and had a good time so that was exciting. But then Friday night Elijah started not doing so hot and had croup so we ended up having a very long night/early morning. He had a really bad spell at 4a.m. so we got up and I wrapped him and Jonathan up and they stood outside for a few minutes since it was like 18 degrees and that really helped open him up. Then we slept for a couple more hours and at 7 he woke up again so I got ready while Jonathan sat in the steamy bathroom with him to open him up again and then I took him to the emergency room. By this time he was running a fever and not too happy about going to the hospital but who could blame him? It didn't take all that long in the ER and the doctor was awesome. We went to Walgreen's and got his medicine and as we were leaving I said come on lets go home, you have to take your medicine. He said, "I don't want to take my medicine" I told him to bad he had to. It was going to make him better so he said, "OK I will try." It was just really sweet.
Later that day for Valentines Jonathan decided to cook me dinner. He knows how much I love Stuffed Chicken Marsala from Olive Garden so he got the recipe and made it with some roasted potato's. It was so good. He did such an awesome job on it. I think Olive Garden better watch out!!! It turned out to be a really nice Valentines and Elijah is doing much better.

Jonathan is ordained

Jonathan is Ordained!!! He has been a licensed minister since October 20, 2006. The next step is to become ordained. He got up early yesterday and went with our pastor to the Church of God State Office in Indianapolis and took his ordination exam. And he passed. He is officially an Ordained Minister in the Church of God!!! We are just so excited. I can't wait until the certificate comes in the mail, there will be a picture of that, I promise!!!

Isaiah's first day of school

So Friday Feb 6th was Isaiah's first day at school. I have been homeschooling him since we were in Texas and we didn't know for sure when we were moving. I didn't want to start him there to move him so I decided to home school until we got settled here. Now that we are settled, we checked out the school that he would go to. It is a good school so we decided he was ready, well really that I was ready. I can't believe how hard it is to send them to kindergarten!!! Jonathan, Elijah and I took him to school. It was so hard to say goodbye. Elijah was not happy about it at all. The night before we were on our way home and Isaiah was telling Elijah, "Tomorrow I am going to school!" and Elijah said, "But I'm going to miss you!!" It was so sweet. Then Isaiah tried to make him feel better and told him how he would be able to play with me and that he could play with his toys while he was gone. It was so nice of him to try to make his little brother feel better!!!

We met Isaiah's teacher, her name is Mrs. Benjamin. She was very nice and so were the other kids in his class. I could tell that as the time for us to leave was getting closer that he was getting upset and so was I. I kept it together and told him goodbye and that I loved him and would be there to pick him up. As we walked out the door I turned to Jonathan and said, "I am really having a hard time with this." And of course started to cry. Jonathan made me feel better and as we were walking out to the car Elijah was holding my hand and said, "Why are we outside?" I told him we were going home. Then he said, "You forgot Isaiah" It was so cute. I told him that we would come and get him later that he had to stay at school. We had a good day and so did Isaiah. He really likes school and I am so happy about that!!! I hope this leaving him gets easier!!!!

Fun in the Snow

Well we had a really good snow last week. When we went to bed it was snowing but when we woke up this is what it looked like!! You can see in this first picture and look at the picnic table you can see just how much it snowed. When this picture was taken it wasn't even done snowing!!!

We went over to David and Audra's house, our pastor, so we could let the boys play with their kids. The kids had so much fun. They played in a huge pile of snow and we pushed them down the driveway in a little sled. Then they around back and had a snowball fight. There was just so much snow!!!! This is what we were hoping for. The kids love the snow, they drive me nuts with it though, they can't just walk to the car on the shoveled driveway, no they have to go trampling through the snow every time. And of course they tried to eat it too, which totally grosses me out!!! But it only lasts for a little bit so we are all enjoying it while we can.
