Jadon Douglas Meyer arrived on April 27, 2009 at 1:24 p.m. He was 7 pds 6 oz and 20 and a half inches long. He is just perfect. My mom came into town the week before to visit and stay through and help with the boys while I was in the hospital, which was such a blessing.
I went in on Monday April 27th to be induced. It's funny because I was really nervous. I know I have had two other Children but I think that you never really are prepared for labor again. As ready as I was to have him out and here, I was also scared!! We had to be to the hospital at 7:30 a.m. so my mom was staying behind at home to get Isaiah to school and Elijah to my friend Elizabeth who was going to be watching him for the day. Well Isaiah ended up being sick all night with a fever so needless to say I only got 3 hours of sleep before heading off to the hospital to give birth!!! Isaiah didn't go to school he also went to Elizabeth's so my mom got to the hospital about 10 a.m.
At a little after 8 a.m. they started my I.V. which was one of the worse parts of the whole thing. I was dehydrated so every time they tried to get a vein, it would collapse. After six times getting pokes and four different nurses, they finally got my I.V. started! At that point it was right around 9:30. So they didn't really start the pitocine till about 10. After they started that they went ahead and got me my epidural. I was a little nervous about my epidural because with the other boys I was in pain when I got it so I didn't really feel it all that much because all I could feel were the contractions, this time I was in no pain so I was scared it was going to hurt. But to my surprise, it really wasn't all that bad!!! After I got my epidural they broke my water and then we just waited. I ended up falling asleep for a little bit and then next thing I knew it was time to push!!!!
After he was born and we moved to our other room it was time for me to go get my tubes tied!!! :( I was super nervous about that because they just left my epidural in and were going to do it like that. Jonathan stayed with Jadon and I went down to surgery. It was a really weird experience. They gave me some medicine that made me almost feel like I was asleep but I wasn't. I couldn't keep my eyes open, they were so heavy and I felt like I was dreaming. I could hear them talking and stuff but I don't remember to much of what they were saying. Once that was over I was in a lot of pain. Let me just say that getting your tubes tied really hurts!!!! I was so happy to get back down to Jonathan and Jadon.
Jadon had been such a good baby. My mom stayed for another week after he was born and then when she left Jonathan's mom and brother came to visit. It was so nice to see everyone and for everyone to get a chance to meet Jadon. He has completed our family!! We have three happy, healthy, beautiful boys and we couldn't ask for more! I thank God for the family he has blessed me with!!!
