It's a BOY!!!

His head and spine, He is laying face down

He's fist and arm, he was waving at us for a minute. It was just awesome!!!

Today was our ultrasound. It went great. We found out we are having another boy!!! He is healthy and doing good. He heart is good and so is everything else, his spine, bladder, kidneys, and all those important parts. He was very active and looks great. The boys went with us and they were not to excited to find out it was a boy. When the doctor said it was a boy, Isaiah said, "I wanted it to be a sister." Elijah followed with, "I wanted a girl!" Jonathan told them that it was ok that they were going to have another brother to body slam. Isaiah was ok with it then but Elijah said, "I am not happy with this" We left the doctors and drove over to my mom's to show here to ultrasound pictures. When we got there I asked the boys if they were happy that they were having a brother and Isaiah said yes but Elijah shook his head no. My mom asked them if they were happy too. She said to Elijah, "Are you going to have a baby brother?" He said "NO" She said, "What are you going to have?" He said, "Nothing" Well I hate to say it but he is just going to have to get over it. We told them that God was going to give us what He wanted us to have. We are so happy and blessed. God has everything in control and He knows what He is doing. I just can't wait to meet the newest member of our family. I am 18 wks and 1 day today. Everything measured out to be that as well so the due date is going to stay the same, May 7th, 2009. Now we are headed to Ft. Wayne on Monday, keep us in prayers for a safe trip!!!

Such a big boy

Elijah is growing up so fast. Yesterday we had to go to the store so I told them we needed to get ready to leave. They both ran in their room and picked out close and got dressed. Elijah is going through his, "I can do it" phase. He thinks he can do everything so without me knowing he decided to put his close on all by himself. After he was all dressed he was so proud of himself that he thought he should get some M&M's. It was just so cute because he put everything on backwards, his pants and his shirt!! I took a picture. You can see how proud he is of himself, all dressed and holding his M&M's!!!

Last weekend we had a wonderful visit with Davy. He came and stayed the night with us Saturday night. Jonathan made sausage chicken gumbo and it was really good. The boys were so excited to see Uncle Davy. We stayed up and hung out and watched movies. Then we went to church Sunday morning and I took some pictures before we left the house.

Here's a picture of the handsome guys in their suits.

The boys with Uncle Davy

After church Sunday we went over to Dax and Deanna's and had a cookout. It was a lot of fun. They put up the bounce house for the kids and they had a wonderful time. They ran around outside, bouncing and playing. Then we had hamburgers and hot dogs and then came home and crash. They sleep so good after playing hard!!!

Halloween Fall Festival

Last night was Halloween. Isaiah woke up and the first thing he said was, "Elijah, its Halloween today!!" They couldn't wait to go to the fall festival, they wanted to get dressed in their costumes all day long. Finally the time came and Amy came over with Reagen and we got them all ready and headed up to our church. I didn't know what to expect since I have never been here for Halloween but they went all out and it was really nice. Jonathan met us up there a little later. The boys played all kinds of games, bounced in bounce houses, got lots of candy and of course ate a bunch of junk... it was great!!!

Of course they really like the football toss game. I was so surprised, Isaiah got the football through the hole all three times!!!

The cupcakes were good. I think this was Elijah's favorite part!! :)

Trunk or Treat

So last night, Wed. Oct 29th the boys got to go Trunk of Treating at a church downtown. It was a lot of fun, they had the gym all set up with food and games. The boys had a blast. Then the members of the church set up their cars in the parking lot and decorated their trunks and the kids got to go Trunk or Treating. They got a ton of candy and had such a good time. People went all out on their trunks, it was really neat. Tomorrow our church is having a Fall Festival that we will be taking the kids too. They just love dressing up in their costumes. Isaiah is Wolverine and Elijah is Optimus Prime. Here are some pictures from the Trunk or Treat

Second Doctors Appointment

I had my second doctors appointment. It was on Monday October 27th. It went pretty good. The doctor gave me some different medicine for the morning sickness and I am glad to report so far so good. As soon as I left the doctors I immediately went to CVS and had that prescription filled and have taken it religiously ever since. Praise God I have not been sick since!!! I also scheduled my ultrasound appointment while I was at the doctors. It will be on December 5th, in the afternoon. Jonathan will be done working by then so he will get to come. We are so excited to find out what the baby is!!

Jonathan at work

Recently Jonathan switched from surveying on land to surveying on the water. It was been a pretty neat experience for him. He rides around all day on a air boat on the water with ton's of alligators. He takes all kinds of cool pictures everyday. The other day he got the chance to get a hold of a baby gator so that was fun for him. He is working long hours and we miss him at home like crazy but this job is coming to an end and we will be moving soon, so we are getting excited for that adventure!!!

I had my first doctors appointment on Monday Sep. 29th. It went really well. Everything looks good and we got an ultrasound done and the baby measured 8 weeks 4 days so my due date was changed. I am officially due May 7, 2009. I have been very sick so hopefully that will go away soon!! We should find out what we are having sometime in December so we are excited about that. The boys and my mom got to come in the room for the ultrasound and they all really enjoyed that. The boys are excited. Isaiah prays every night for the baby to be healthy and strong!! Just keep us in your prayers, pray for a healthy baby and for me not to be so sick!!!

Hurricane Ike

We got mandatory evacuated for hurricane Ike. We went to Dallas and stayed there. We left Friday morning and Ike hit sometime Friday night. We evacuated with my parents, my uncle and aunt, Dax, Deanna and the girls, and of course our dog Sam. Even though we didn’t want to leave we are glad we did. It was nice to spend some time with everyone. Ike hit our city pretty hard. Our downtown was underwater and some of it still is but praise God we were spared. Our apartment was ok, we have no damage and we also got our power back Sunday night. We left Dallas and came home on Monday. We were all so happy to be home. When we got home Isaiah said, “You want to go see my room!” He was so happy to be at home with his toys and stuff. There are no grocery stores or gas station open here so we have to drive about 30 minutes into Louisiana to go to the store and stuff. I don’t know when things will be up and running here but hopefully it won’t be too long. We are just so blessed to have our family safe and our home still intact.

Baby time!!!

We found out on Wednesday August 27, 2008 that we would be adding a new member to our family. We are all so excited. Isaiah said he wants a baby sister. We told him it may not be a baby sister that it may be a baby brother, would that be OK? He said yes. He has had so many question already... Where is the baby going to sleep?... When will the baby be here?... We are just not looking forward to some of the other questions that have yet to come and we know will!! Elijah said he want a baby too, but we have a feeling that he doesn't quite understand what that means, we think he will be our jealous one. Time will tell.

Right now the due date is May 2, 2009 but that may change after the first doctors appointment. We will keep everyone updated and be sure to keep us in your prayers for a good pregnancy and a healthy baby!!!

The Beach/Date Day

Yesterday the boys went to the beach with Papa and Nana. They were so excited and so were we, this gave us the chance to spend the day together and go on a date, which only happens about twice a year!!!

The boys headed off for the beach early so we headed off for a nice breakfast together. After breakfast we went to a movie then to the mall. After that we had a late lunch and headed home. The boys had a blast. They got to hold fish, catch crabs, play in the sand and in the water. They had a wonderful day with their Papa and Nana, the pictures tell it all.

They told us all about their day and showed up their sea shells. Then at bed time just before prayers Isaiah decides to ask us the question of the day, apparently he had already asked Papa and Nana but he didn't think they answered him well he enough. He asked, "Why are the love bugs stuck together like that?" Mommies answer, "That's a good question, why don't you ask your dad?" And he did, boy that Jonathan sure can come up with some good answers!!!

Elijah's 3rd birthday weekend

Elijah just had his third birthday on Saturday Aug 9th. It was a wonderful day, actually a wonderful weekend. Friday night Papa and Nana came over for pizza and both boys got a present, The Incredible Hulk hands. They are really neat, they make noise every time you hit things with them. The boys went wild over them, literally!! It was great. Then on Saturday we had his birthday party. It was nice because he got to have his party on his actual birthday, which is rare. He of course had an Incredible Hulk themed party. He was so excited about it. Jonathan cooked on the grill and after we ate Elijah came over to us and said he was ready to open his presents, he just couldn't wait. We played pin the tail on the donkey and had a pinata. Then to finish off the weekend we went to Chuck E. Cheeses Sunday after church. At first Elijah wasn't sure how he felt about Chucky but he finally warmed up. It was so much fun. We just can't believe it has already been three years since God blessed us with our Elijah Boyd.

Welcome to our blog!!

So this is our blog spot! We are doing great here in Texas. Just counting the days till we head back to Indiana but we are enjoying our time here with our family and friends. It has been so nice living so close to Papa and Nana. And in July we were blessed to have our friends Dax, Deanna, Camden and Berkleigh join us here. Isaiah and Elijah love having their friends so close by.

The boys are getting so big. Isaiah is five and started Kindergarten this year. We are homeschooling him, yes we are brave!! He is doing wonderful so far. He loves to learn and I am amazed everyday how smart he is. He also recently learned how to swim all by himself, we are so proud. Elijah just celebrated his third birthday. We just can't believe how big our baby is and that he is already three. He is really coming into his own now, just full of personality. He has such a big imagination, he loves to pretend.

Jonathan works alot but we make sure we have our family time. We love to play games and watch movies together. Our days are pretty full and never boring with our two boys. They drive us crazy and make us laugh everyday, but we love it and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!!!
